WINE TRIP TO NAOUSSA
Discover the Greek region of Imathia through a unique wine journey to the charming town of Naousa, known for its award-winning wines and the native Xinomavro grape.
Naoussa is a town that combines rich history with outstanding natural beauty. Some of Greece’s most acclaimed wines are produced here, and the town’s charm lies in its traditional atmosphere and local cultural treasures.
Naousa lies at the foot of Mount Vermio in northern Greece, a fertile and scenic area with unique climate conditions. The cool temperatures and distinctive soil make it ideal for viticulture, and the region is renowned for producing some of Greece’s most exciting wines.
In Naousa, we explore a distinctive wine world where passion and knowledge have been passed down through generations. We visit both renowned producers with international awards and small, family-run wineries that craft exclusive, small-scale wines with care and tradition.
Here, the best of both worlds meet, a deep respect for heritage and tradition combined with modern techniques and organic farming, resulting in sustainable wines of the highest quality. Each vineyard and each wine reflect the region’s unique character and craftsmanship, offering you a genuine insight into what Naousa has to offer.
The culinary tradition of northern Greece is rich and diverse, with influences from both the Balkans and the Ottoman Empire. In Naousa, you’ll enjoy traditional dishes, often in perfect harmony with local wines.
The journey includes excursions to historical sites such as Aristotle’s School and the Museum of Aigai (Vergina), where you can explore royal tombs and learn more about the legacy of Alexander the Great.
End your experience with relaxation in the natural hot springs of Pozar, a perfect blend of taste, history, and nature. Discover Vergina, Pozar, and Xinomavro on this unique wine tour.
