Day 1 – Wine, History & Company
Welcome
11:30
When we meet at the designated meeting point, the journey officially begins. After settling into our vehicle, we continue to our first wine tasting experience.
During the ride, we will have the opportunity to get to know one another and ease into the spirit of the journey through a fun Greek word game or a light-hearted quiz. We will share our travel expectations and past travel memories, helping to build the warm group atmosphere that will accompany us throughout the experience.
Gerovassiliou Vineyard – Lunch & Wine Tasting
12:00 - 14:30
Ktima Gerovassiliou is one of Greece’s most renowned vineyards, celebrated for helping revive the Malagousia grape and for producing wines of exceptional quality.
The estate also hosts a wine museum featuring one of the world’s largest collections of corkscrews and wine-related artefacts.
A visit here offers a perfect combination of tasting outstanding wines while exploring the rich history and tradition of Greek winemaking.
Vergina – Archaeological Museum of Aigai
16:00 - 18:30
Leaving the vineyard with our senses enriched by flavours and aromas, we begin a journey back in time.
The Archaeological Museum of Aigai (Vergina) is one of Greece’s most important historical sites, telling the story of Alexander the Great and his family.
Aigai (ancient city) was the first capital of the ancient Macedonian kingdom and the royal seat of important historical figures such as Philip II of Macedon and Alexander the Great.
Through rare and invaluable archaeological finds, impressive artefacts, and historical treasures, we will explore a civilization that deeply influenced world history.
In an environment radiating respect, knowledge, and inspiration, the past comes alive.
Our Home
19:30 - 22:30
After approximately a one-and-a-half-hour drive, we arrive in the picturesque town of Naoussa, where we first get acquainted with the charming guesthouse that will be our home for the next three nights.
After settling into our rooms and having some time to rest, we will gather for a shared dinner — either by the cosy fireplace or in the courtyard with beautiful views, depending on the weather.
Here our first day ends. Good night and rest well. Tomorrow we will explore local culture, history, and the beautiful surroundings.
*Please note that some details in the program may change due to unforeseen circumstances. However, our ambition is that every moment of the journey will offer a genuine and personal experience. This is not a traditional sightseeing tour, but a deeper exploration of the region’s culture, history, wine, and gastronomy — where human encounters and shared moments are at the centre.
