Day 4 – Cigars, wine & tradition – The road towards Goumenissa

Chrysochou Winery

10:00 -12:30

After breakfast, we pack our belongings and bid farewell to Naoussa.

Before leaving the town, we make a final stop at one of the most beautiful and traditional wineries in the region – the family-run Chrysochou Winery, where tradition meets passion for quality.

During our visit, we explore the wine cellars, learn about the winemaking process, and of course taste some of their finest wines.

Departure towards Goumenissa via… Cuba

12:30 – 13:00

We leave the larger and well-known Naoussa behind and continue towards the smaller yet equally significant Goumenissa, known for its wine and winemaking tradition.

Despite its small size, Goumenissa stands out for its local wines and centuries-old wine heritage. The area combines its scenic surroundings with authentic regional gastronomy, offering a genuine taste of tradition and cultural legacy.

Before reaching Goumenissa, however, we will make a special surprise stop.

Vamma Del Sol - Handmade cigars

13:00 - 14:00

Our visit to Vama de Sol brings us to one of the few places in the world where cigars are made entirely by hand.

This production represents only 1.8% of global cigar production, and we are fortunate to step inside one of these rare, small family-run workshops, where every cigar carries the signature of craftsmanship and tradition.

* This visit is part of a broader tasting experience and aims to give us the opportunity to discover a unique European product up close, explore a particular craft, and talk with the producer.

For those who do not wish to participate in the visit, there will be time to enjoy a coffee in the village square at a relaxed pace.

Lunch

14:00 - 15:30

När vi utforskar naturen och byarna kring Mount Paiko gör vi ett stopp på en traditionell lokal taverna för att njuta av hemlagad mat, med både klassiska rätter och handgjorda meze, allt tillagat med omsorg av ägarna själva.

Villa or walk?

16:00 -18:00

Those who wish may return to the hotel to rest, while others are welcome to join a walk to Dio Potamia – a green oasis with bubbling spring water and pleasant shade under the plane trees.

Last night – several options

19:00 - 22:00

We may enjoy coffee at a cozy café, indulge in something sweet at a local patisserie, and take a leisurely stroll through the town’s picturesque alleys, discovering its unique character at a relaxed pace.

The evening will conclude with a delightful dinner, followed by a farewell drink at a bar in the square – the perfect ending to our last night on this journey.
