Day 1 – A warm welcome to Kavala

We are gathering at the meeting spot in the city of Thessaloniki, ready to begin our journey toward the charming wine region of Kavala. Along the way, we’ll get to know each other and we’ll share our expectations and past travel memories, starting to build the warm group spirit that will accompany us throughout the entire stay.

At the foothills of Mount Pangaio lies Biblia Chora Estate, a landmark of modern Greek winemaking. Its name recalls the ancient city once famed for its legendary “Biblinos Oenos.” Here, tradition meets cutting-edge technology, creating wines that have written their own story: Ovilos, Biblinos Oenos, Areti. Each tasting is a journey through the microclimate and the spirit of the land.

Stopping at a cozy taverna. A relaxed introduction to the local cuisine, where authentic dishes, unique flavors, and the warm hospitality of the region come together.

Evening Stroll and Dinner at the Harbor

A beautiful evening awaits us at the picturesque port of Kavala. We’ll take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront, admiring the hillside houses lit up at night and the impressive castle watching over the town. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy dinner at one of the seaside tavernas, savoring fresh local dishes and meze, perfectly paired with wine and the gentle sea breeze.

This is not a traditional tourist tour, but rather a deep dive into the region’s culture, history, wine, and gastronomy – where encounters with people and shared moments are at the heart of it all.
