DAY 4- Cigars, Wine & Tradition – A Day in Goumenissa
Departure for Goumenissa via… Cuba
10:00 – 10:30
We leave behind the larger and renowned Naousa for the smaller, yet equally significant, Goumenissa, known for its wine and winemaking tradition. Though small, Goumenissa stands out for its local wines and centuries-old winemaking heritage. The area combines its natural surroundings with authentic regional cuisine, offering a true taste of its tradition and cultural legacy. Before reaching Goumenissa, however, we will make a special surprise stop.

Vamma Del Sol - Handmade cigars
10:30 - 11:30
Next, our visit to Vama de Sol brings us to one of the few places in the world where cigars are made entirely by hand. This production represents only 1.8% of the world’s total cigar output, and we are fortunate to step inside one of these rare, small family-run workshops, where every cigar carries the signature of craftsmanship and tradition.
Chatzivariti Winery: Goumenissa’s Wine Jewel
12:00 - 13:30
Hatzivaritis Estate, nestled at the foot of Mount Paiko, is one of Goumenissa’s most authentic wineries. With a strong commitment to organic cultivation and the signature blend of Xinomavro and Negoska, it produces wines that capture the true character of the region.

Lunch
14:00 - 15:30
Exploring the nature and villages of Mount Paiko, we’ll stop at a traditional local tavern to enjoy homemade cuisine, featuring both classic dishes and handmade meze, all prepared with care by the owners themselves.
Villa or Walk?
16:00 -18:00
Now we have two options: those who wish can return to the hotel to rest, while others are welcome to join a walk to Dio Potamia — a green oasis with bubbling spring water and pleasant shade under the plane trees.

Last night - Many options
18:00 - 22:00
Goumenissa is small but beautiful, with a main square that is lively and welcoming. We can enjoy our coffee at a cozy café, indulge in a sweet treat at a local patisserie, and take a leisurely stroll through the town’s picturesque alleys, discovering its charm at a relaxed pace. The evening will conclude with a delightful dinner, followed by a farewell drink at a bar in the square, marking the perfect ending to our last night on this journey.
